Description
LOOKING FOR STAFFING COORDINATOR FOR HOME HEALTH SERVICES, PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Scheduling and Coordination:
Develop and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and patient needs.
Assign caregivers based on skills, availability, and patient requirements.
Respond promptly to staffing changes, including sick calls and last-minute absences, by finding suitable replacements.
Patient Care Matching:
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure appropriate caregiver-patient matching based on skill set and compatibility.
Communicate effectively with caregivers and patients about schedules, changes, or specific instructions.
Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for caregivers regarding scheduling and assignment concerns.
Maintain open communication with patients and their families to address concerns related to care schedules.
Work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to align staffing needs with patient care plans.
Administrative Duties:
Update and maintain scheduling software or databases to ensure accuracy and compliance with agency policies.
Monitor employee timekeeping and attendance records.
Prepare reports related to staffing, coverage, and scheduling as required.
Compliance:
Ensure that all staffing arrangements comply with state regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Verify caregiver credentials, certifications, and availability prior to assignments.
Problem Solving:
Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, patient or caregiver complaints, and other operational issues promptly.
Proactively identify and address gaps in staffing coverage.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a home health or healthcare setting.
Familiarity with scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling tools.
Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive patient and employee information.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with occasional travel to client homes or facilities, as needed.
May involve on-call responsibilities during weekends or after-hours to handle emergency staffing needs.
